Juniors
The 2025 season starts on Tuesday, 4th March at Tauranga Boys College Gym, running through to end of September (25 Weeks - does not run during school holidays)
Junior session is open to Yr7, Yr8 & Yr9 students only.
Session runs from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
Due to over capacity in the 2024 season, the committee has had to make changes for 2025.
These changes are as follows:

There will be a limit of 45 players per night to ensure quality court time

We have restricted the age range of players (Yr7, Yr8 & Yr9)

There is an increase in the fee structure (see below)

Members need to check in by 6.10pm to ensure their spot for the night after which casuals will be accepted (at $20pp per night)
2025 Membership Fees:
Juniors / Students: $150 for the season or $20 per casual per night.
Family concessions available & racquets available
(Family Concessions: 2 people = 10% discount, 3 people or more = 20%)
All members will be full members of BOP Badminton, and be entitled to enter National & Regional competitions, play BOP Interclub etc.

At the Avenues Badminton Club Junior Session, our coaches use the BWF Shuttle Time program.
Shuttle Time lessons are designed to provide children with a positive image of badminton through many opportunities to have fun, engage with others and experience success.
Shuttle Time introduces players to fundamental movement skills through a range of physical badminton activities which incorporate technical and tactical elements of the game. This includes the development of hand-eye coordination, catching and throwing, stability and balance, speed and agility as well as jumping and landing skills.
