General Club Information

The Avenues Badminton Club is a fairly new club, only becoming and incorporated society in 2015, and affiliation to the BOP Badminton Association in the same year.

Our President, Fiona Stone and a committee of 11 dedicated volunteers run the club, which plays out of  the Tauranga Boys College School Gym.  Parking at venue is at back of the College (off Devonport Rd) and the Gym entrance is opposite the field.

We have both a junior and senior section at our club.  Our playing season runs from beginning of March to November with juniors playing from 6.00pm to 7.30pm and then seniors playing from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.  

We cater for all levels of play and are fortunate to have members of our committee who are also coaches who can help players to help improve their knowledge and skills. 

We are also a very social club and we organise fun nights, inter-club challenges and also have an end of year functions for families.

Club starts on first Tuesday in March and goes through to November.

Session Times:

Juniors (Yr 5 - Yr 9) session runs from 6.00pm to 7.30pm (Term time only - not during school holidays)

Seniors (Yr10+ - Adults) session runs from  7.30 pm to 9.30pm.

Membership Costs: To Be Confirmed at 2024 AGM

Adults: $140 for the season or $10 casual per night. Juniors / Students: $110 for the season or $7 casual per night.

Family concessions available & racquets available - just come along and have a go!

(Family Concessions: 2 students = $210, 1 Adult & 1 Student = $230 - each extra family member $90)

(Consession Cards: Adult = $50 for 6 sessions, Student = $35 for 6 sessions.  Basically pay for 5 visits and get 1 free! Consession cards payable in advance)
